Most of our bicycle tours are easy or of a moderate difficulty. These tours are designed so that people enjoy Nature and also visit our historic and cultural heritage. However, all the tours can be adapted and can become longer and more difficult, if that is the customer’s wish. Rally papers and team building games are easy to create and the group will enjoy every minute in the superb landscapes Portugal has to offer.

The Beautiful Coast of Cascais

This bicycle tour starts and ends at the same place, in Cascais.

Cascais is an ancient and quiet fishing village protected by a beautiful bay and where people used to depend on the sea and the fishermen used to stitch their nets in its narrow streets. All this changed when Lisbon aristocracy discovered it and conquered it to spend its holidays, following the example of the King who in 1870 decided to transform the house of the citadel’s governor into the court’s residence for summer holidays.

You leave Cascais and go to Guincho, which is one of the most famous beaches to practice some water sports and where some world championships take place.

You will get to Boca do Inferno which is an enormous cavity opened in the rocks with 20m scarps and in the flood-tide the waves are so strong that transform it into a real hollow of hell.

A Castle in the middle of the river

In this peculiar Tour we ride along beautiful trails and we get to the surrounding area of the military zone of Tancos. Here we can see the old ruins of a nunnery – Loreto Convent.

And then there is Almourol Castle, built on the granitic outcrop of a small islet in the river Tagus (310m in long per 75m in extreme width and 18m in altitude). The castle is believed to have been built by the Romans, but it is also believed that there once was an old Lusitanian castle. We still wonder its purpose: was it a watch tower? Was it a control post of the boats in Tagus or had it any other purpose?... Anyway, it was extremely important during the agitated period of the Christian Conquering. Meanwhile, the above mentioned nunnery was forgotten and never rebuilt. It is said that there was a secret tunnel connecting the castle and the nunnery to be used when the castle was surrounded by the enemy. We prefer to use the boat to cross the river and visit the castle!

Riding down steps in the ancient quarters of Lisbon

This is a Guided Tour that can only be organised for a reduced number of people (about 15 to 20 people) because we ride on the sidewalks and on the stairs where usually there are pedestrians. This is a very unusual Tour that allows you to visit the ancient quarters of Lisbon in a funny and more radical way. It is intended ONLY for experienced people with a mountain bike and that are used to ride down steps. On this Tour you can ride a total of 2000 steps. But you can also have a "lighter" version with only 1000 steps.

The Cape Espichel

This is a Mountain Bike Tour that takes place in the Natural Park of Arrabida (Cape Espichel), admiring the beautiful and agreeable beaches where the fine sand and clear sea waters show a strong contrast of unusual colours. Once a sacred place, the cape was a place of popular festivals and pilgrimages. The Sanctuary of Our Lady of the Cape is formed by the Church (built in the late 17^th century) and the buildings that were used as shelter for the pilgrims. There are some magnificent views over the sea and coast, with very funny single-tracks. It can be done by any mountain-biker, even if you have little experience.

The Blue Paradise

We start the bicycle tour near the famous Palmela Castle where we can admire an amazing view over the plain, in the Natural Park of Arrabida Hills. We will ride around the magnificent Arrabida hills admiring the blue ocean and the quiet Troia peninsula on the horizon. We will ride along the coast and we will have the opportunity of spending some time at the beach and enjoying a refreshing swim in the ocean.
